Rainbow gloves have lightly padded leather palms, sublimated Lycra uppers and Velcro closures.
Rainbow Gloves are based on the mitts worn by the United States' first Tour de France winner and two-time professional world champion Greg LeMond during the 1985 and 1986 seasons when he raced for La Vie Claire and finished second and first at the Tour. The originals were made by Hatch. In 1989, when Le Mond made his comeback racing for the Belgian ADR Team and won his second Tour and World Championships, he wore similar gloves made by Team LeMond. Rainbow gloves have lightly padded leather palms, sublimated Lycra uppers and Velcro closures.
